leo broke leg i cant go to the vet

I'd suggest next time I keep a closer eye on your gecko.

There are no "home remedies" for broken bones, if it really is broke.. :(

keep your temps good, offer food, hope she doesnt go into shock and pray its really not broken, If you cant aford the vet id say try to find a rescue who can its not fair the gecko suffers.

You need to be able to take care of these situations.
Honestly you don't seem to be responsible enough to have a pet of your own, shown because you left her ON THE FLOOR! it costs like 30 dollars to get a leo's leg splinted anyway.

wow... really? wow... on the floor!?!! what did you think was gonna happen!!?? and this is my all time pet peeve and im sorry if i come off harsh but i dont understand why you or anyone else would knowingly take an animal of any kind into their house when they cant provide proper medical attention for it. now the animal suffers immensely because it doesnt have a capable owner. have you ever broken a bone?? do you have any idea how excruciatingly painful it is to have an untreated broken leg??? just because animals dont show pain the same way we wussy humans do does not at all mean they feel it any less. in all plain honestly though, you can be fined a hefty ammount for neglecting to give any animal on your property adequate medical attention. taking it to the vet would be several hundred dollars cheaper than paying an animal neglegance fine. im sorry if this sounds harsh, but the truth can hurt sometimes and your gecko found that out the hard way.

Bridgette, Don't apologize for being harsh, sometimes things just need to be said. If you can't afford to treat a pet when it gets sick than you should not have it.

its ok and it is better and not my fault i was on the floor and my cuz just ran back on purpes and steped on him and i found a reptile dude that owns a store and said he would help if it got worse

If it is broken it is just going to get worse. Please get this animal to the vet or to someone who can.

give your leo to the person who owns the reptile store. youre obviously not willing to accept any responsibility whatsoever about what happened to your leo and why. anyways say you keep him and let him heal the slow, painful way. what happens when he develops a bacterial infection, or gets something in his eye, or stops eating, or whatever! ANIMALS NEED MEDICAL CARE. THEY DEPEND ON US FOR IT! if you cant provide that then you should not own a pet. case closed imho.

This is a 14 year old kid he wont understand his parents are the one that should be hearing this.

If it got worse? The LG is hurt! Ya dont wait till it gets worse you take care of it now, its hurt now. Its a living being, it has feelings, it has a heart. These wonderful creatures were given to us to take care of not to wait until things get worse. So you say its not your fault, well so what. It is your responsiblity, now you go and do what you are suppose to do,the right thing, period.

this is true and i see his age. still, i started owning leopard geckos when i was 11 years old. i did mounds of research, saved up loads of cash, found vets, all nine yards. when zero, one of my first two original leos, got sick, i took him to the vet with the money i saved up knowing that these animals as well as every other animal need medical care. i understand that no two people are the same but i do not believe age, especially teenage, is a good enough excuse.
