The other I day, I posted a thread concerning my leo, I still haven't gotten any answers or help. Her eyes are still almost completely shut.

On the other post, someone asked you to post a pic if you can. That always helps. Is there old shed by the eyes?

Thanks for all the input guys n gals. She is a normal leo, not albino or anything. As far as the shedding. She has recently shed, but I can't see and old skin around her eyes. Also. there are no lights in her enclosure, the only light she sees is the room lighting when they are on. What kind of ointment should I use if it's an infection?

You'll have to get a special antibiotic ointment from your vet. Additional antibiotics may also be prescribed for an infection since it can spread from the eyes to the rest of the body.

My tang just shed not to long ago and is goin thru the same thing only opening its eyes during or after a warm bath. she also seems to be going right back into another shed. one eye looked like it had a lil graying ive been applying a saline salution on day 2 of that now. she also hasent eatn in awhile. well since the first shed. shes not albino i do got light but she never seem'd to have problem with light b4. ive tried callin around for a medicated eye drop or something incase it is infection but no one seems to sell around me. and thou i do my love my gecko i fear the cost of a vet bill. oh n its been a week or 2 since she's poopd since the beginning of shed #1

Thanks

Thanks for all the info and help. I tried cleaning the eyes with lukewarm distilled water. I don't think she has an eye on the left side! At least I didn't see anything in there after removing the film that was covering her eyelids.

Just a comment towards a possible infection, i want to say (not 100% sure) that you might need to seperate that gecko with the eye issue away from the others just in case.
If im wrong correct me please.

well we had this conversation in another thread haha, so it slipped my mind. But yeah, thats good, just in case. Then you would have a epidemic on your hands if it got the rest of the leos.

ya..this is the one in son's room. She is all better now.

it is two others.. I don't think get the impression that the infection passes that way because it start with retained shed...but it is possible so they are separated.

good thing to keep me on my toes.

I just thought i remember reading when one of the geckos had a eye condition, they would keep them alone. until they were back in health! But if im wrong, then oh well, can never hurt though.
