actually melanin is not common for dom hypos the hypo geme reduced the melanin with lightens the colors. the reason they look "ghostish" is because of the reduced melanin. so black coloring would go grey or purple and yellow a lighter yellow or offwhite, basically all muted colorsLottiz said:But it's usual for dom. hypo

i understand but a normal patternless does not have that melanin in the circles like that.. the hypo gene does not add it , it reduces it. so in a patty it would reduce any melanin. now those hypo snows do have black it is because the animal was bred to a normal wild type or something that is a gecko with melanin. so it has reduced melanin everywhere even those dots and circles where it would have normally been all black or a darker color of yellow.
so what i am saying is in a regular or dominant hypo patternless you would not have melanin present but the lack of it. it would make pattys look pale in color but not add black or dark pigmentation to them.
