Mealworm question

OK, so I have been trying to breed my mealworms for a while now. I am very successful at getting the worms to pupate and then turn into beetles and breeding the beetles and hatching baby mealies. My problem is my mealies do not ever get the size of the giant mealies they came from. At largest I get large mealies. They are pupating very young. They are given plenty of food (veggies, grains, fish food, water crystals) and they are not subject to extreme temps hot or cold. Does anyone know why they are not growing so big or how I can make them get bigger? :main_huh:

I started mixing powdered milk into their gutload and they got a little bigger than they usually do

Giant mealworms are treated with growth hormone, they don't naturally get that large.

you can give them brewers yeast to make them larger as well but its sometimes costly
