that was anti climactic....hopefully a lesson learned on the marketing idea for this thread... Good looking hatchling but long toes are a sign of giants??

wow that egg was huge. how much does that baby weigh?

He spent way too much time in that egg. He is very developed, super colorful and very big for a hatchling. All Bandits come out very bright and then their bold markings and masks come in in about 3-4 weeks, at least that's been our experience. Some come out with no mask and then suddenly it develops. Others come out with a nice full mask. It's variable. Lucky, the striped baby from Zorro came out with very defined bold patterns and a nice mask right out of the egg. It's different for each one as to how and when that all develops.

I did not weigh the gecko since I bothered him a lot to take this picture....not good to stress hatchlings as we all know...fragile, risk of a dropped tail, etc. We normally don't bother them for days but I knew people were anxious about him. He is considerably larger than the normal Bandit hatchling.

Just as a comparison to show variability in these Bandits, here's his sister Lucky. She looks like a completely different gecko, yet they have the same parents. Crazy how different the siblings are in this morph.
