Mourning gecko

Okay, so Today i took my other halfs mourning gecko off him to house with mine as it was on its own. After getting home when I was about to place it in the viv, I noticed that 2 of its toes are missing (completely not just the tips) and on one of its feet, all its toes are kinda upturned (all pointing up). And on every single one of its toes, there's old shed skin that hasn't come off. I just don't know what to do to help get it off:( given the fact that you're not meant to handle them as their skin rips easy and every slight touch spooks them, I can't even use a q-tip or tweezers to try and gently coax it off. Gonna try and catch her and put her in a tub with some wet paper towel over a heat mat to see if that can soften it any and hopes it comes off as she's moving about. The thing I'm most worried about is her upturned toes? Also the fact that because of all the old skin that won't come off, she can't climb and is stuck on the ground :( any help/advice is greatly appreciated! I just feel so bad for not being able to help her! Sorry this post is so long!

Welcome to GF! It is hard to do much with the tiny, fragile fast geckos. I think your idea of a mini "sauna" is a good one. You could probably use a deli cup to catch her. As for the more long-term problem, if you put some fake vines and/or cork bark in the enclosure she'll be able to climb on that even if she can't climb up the glass.
