Thanks! These babies came from parents that were produced by Eric at Oregon Geckos, from adults he aquired from Alberto at A & M Gecko (correct me if I'm wrong about that Eric!).
Maybe I'm missing something but what exactly makes the one a Jungle? I would classify it as slightly abberrant but since there is no striping on the tail I don't think I would classify it as a Jungle. Maybe the definitions have changed though, who knows! I'm just happy to have two nice and healthy baby afghans on the ground!
And Yes, that hatchling on the left is going to be something special! Fingers are crossed for a male. :main_thumbsup:
By definition, a Jungle is a Leopard Gecko who's body pattern is irregular. The body pattern usually is not banded, but has different patterns on the body. As for the tail, the tail is not banded, but will feature diagonal bands or broken bands.
An aberrant Leopard Gecko is a Leopard Gecko which has a broken pattern. The broken patterns can occur in either the tail or on the body.
IMO, by definition I believe most Afghans would be classified as an Aberrant patterned Leopard gecko.
