You cannot blame illegals for these problems... The entire blame is on any voting age citizen who rants about these problems, but neglects to go to the voting booth... As a democracy we do have a voice and if you want anything to change you have to use it.

These are the facts!

I'm not singling anyone out here!

I wasn't blaming the illegals, I was blaming the lawmakers etc. who give them these luxuries if you wanna call them that. I make my voice heard every time the polls are open, its just unfortunate that sometimes that is not enough, and I do agree with you, if you are a voting age citizen and do not vote, you do not have a right to complain about anything. And Marula, I do not agree with the Americans coming to Italy and getting all that stuff that you can't get either, it is not right, where you are American, Mexican, Cuban or any other nationality, if you do not come into the country legally you should not be allowed all of these things until you are a legal citizen and pay for what you get like everyone else.

Yes we can blame these people Michael. They take advantage of a situation. Besides you don't vote on laws actually. You vote for the person that votes for them. We all saw what our votes meant when Bush lost the election and was still put into office.

Marula, we don't need illegals. There are people that would gladly come here on a work visa to work for minimum wage. If you believe these businesses that say they can't survive without illegal workers you're crazy. The only reason they use them is for a higher profit. Businesses cry broke and seek government aid. Then when their reports come out they show record profits.

Come on Brian, I like you alot man, but lets don't take it there, that will open up a whole new can of worms. I don't even agree that it is being taken advantage of, it is just being put in their lap practically, It is our lawmakers fault for giving those kind of luxuries to them, and if it means enough to us, we need to vote for those people we think will work for what we want.

nobady of you guys know that your country have a really strong politics regarding visa..
is something like impossible caming here legally for the 98% of people.
if you have a work, if your boss try to do a visa for you, is hard the same.
if you are able to do a work that nobady can do, is difficult the same..
there are many reason why there are illegals around the world..i don't like that, but is what's happend.
and generally the question of illegals is never resolved because there are many interests behind them...
i personaly don't like this situation..but everywhere, if illegals enter in the country (every country), there are somebody in this country that was pay for "don't see nothing"...
like i say before..is a really complycate question..is not a simple rational and politic question..
and like i said there are people that is illegal that try in anyway to do everyting legally...is not for defend them, is only for put a little light at the question...

you really think guys that your government don't found the way to shipping back ALLLL illegal if he really whant that?
USA is the country that if whant something be able to do what he whant.
i'm not crazy..i only see what's happend EVERYWHERE around the world..and i really think that if there is a place where everyting is possible is here..
so if here nobady resolve the illegals question probably there are reason more important that the level of education in california or the insurance in texas...
here in texas we have 12.000.000 of illegals...
who give them work?
who permitt at 12.000.000  of illegals to stay whitout problems?

What do you think I am getting at with this Shaun? Did you think I wanted to get our pitchforks and torches and chase them out? Of course we need to all speak up and vote.
Just out of couriosity do you have illegals in GA. I just can't see how you are missing this. Maybe because I am drowning in them or that I try to pay attention to whats going on in the world.

Wow, this is an etertaining thread to read. :main_laugh: I am all for anyone (who is willing to do it legally) to chase the "american dream", whether that be Mexicans, Cubans or anyone else. But it has to be done legally or they need to be sent back where they came from, wherever that maybe. I am married and we have one 4 year old little girl. We would give anything to be able to have a second child, we had health insurance but the monthly premium kept going up so much we could no longer afford it, and the plan didn't even include maternity. There is no other forms of help out there for us because we are told we make too much money combined to be approved for anykind of assistance. But you can take someone who came to this country illegally and they can come here and spit our 5, 6 or 7 kids and dont have to pay a dime, it is paid for by us, thats urks (sp?) me a little. We just need a little help with all the hospital bills that would be coming our way with having a child, we can support our child as far as feeding, doctors etc. But we can't do that because we "make too much money". I am not even sure how much the illegals have to pay for the raising of their child, probably not much if it is anything like having a child. That is what upsets me about the whole thing, we just want to have our second and I am sure last child but can't, while the illegal immigrants (and I don't care where they are from) are getting their "american dream" for free. Sorry for all the rambling, I just read the thread for so long and had this on my mind the whole time, and I had to let it out.

Brian, I posted this post awhile back, yes, you can tell from this post we have tons of illegals in Georgia, and if you read my posts that I have made throughout this thread you can tell I am practically on the same page as you are here. I was just saying lets not start a political argument here, as this forum has already been down that road once. But yes, this will have to be settled at the polls, and from the looks of Felicias posts, it isn't a Republican or Democratic issue, it changes from candidate to candidate, so research is a must.

No matter how you look at it....It is a political problem? Bush did loose the election and still got put into office. Watch the documentary "Hacking Democracy" if you do not agree. Last time I checked finding over a 100,000 signed vote ballads tossed in a dumpster was a federal offense. Was anyone charged for it.......ummm NO!! I wonder why that could be. Did you also know that the memory cards inserted into the electronic voting machines had live processing chips in them that were succesfully hacked changing the outcome of a dummyy election. I'm sure there's a good explanation though.:main_thumbsdown: Maybe we should all look into things a bit further. :)

I agree Ian, thats what I was saying, you can look at Felicias post and see that Republicans and Democrats alike voted to allow illegals to have these things, so we all need to do alot of research on our candidate if we want these things changed!!

I already had my reasons for not liking Hillary Clinton, but this just compounds my distaste for her. Thank god next presidential election I can vote, and if shes a candidate, she will NOT be getting it from me.

Shaun your post about insurance hits all to close to home for many.

I pay well over $450 per month just to cover my son and I, and it doesn't cover pregnancies either.

What I was getting at with the mexican american comment is why are you mexican? You are american or do you have dual citizenship?

Brian, what kind of question is that? I say that I"m mexican american becuase of my culture, nothing else. Yes I was born here and no I don't have citizenship in Mexico but that's besides the point. I was raised learning the mexican culture.

You're the first person who has ever even told me I'm an american.
