My Home Made Rack

I've mentioned the way i built my own rack in several threads and since I took some quick photos last night I figured I'd share them with everyone.

It is bileveled with the hatchling tubs (12 qt sterlite) 3 accross on the top section and the adult and juvenile tubs (27 qt sterlite) 2 accross on the bottom. All tubs have air holes in all four sides. The larger tubs have a slight gap (approx.1/8 inch) at the top as well. The top, bottom, and middle shelves of the bottom section are fixed as well as the bottom and top shelves of the upper section. All other shelves are removable and use shelving pegs to hold them in place (see pictures). Heat tape runs along the back of each shelf and is regulated by a Helix thermostat. In addition I took a picture of my hatchling tub setup. The front hide covers a wet papertowel and the rear hide is over the heated end. (Please excuse the supply junk in the tubs in the picture, the rack isn't full yet, lol)

Let me knoiw what you think. Thanks Steve

I'll have to take some measurements if you want specs. My neighbor is a carpenter so I used his table saw to cut the wood from sheets of melamine. I just made the bottom portion to start and then expanded it to the top hatchling protion. For the removable shelves you can buy the shelf pegs at home depot or lowes, make the measurements of where to drill the hole and then drill it but don't go all the way through the sheet. it really helps to have a puncher nail in order to begin the center of the hole so the drill bit lines up properly. PM me with any specific questions I'd be happy to share. As for price I probably spent 100-150 for the wood and tubs but I really didn't keep track.
