Neosporin, and she should be good as new... but don't beat yourself up about it, junk happens all the time. Live and learn - now you've learned to be much more aware of your geckos' limbs :/ But I do understand why you're upset.

Try to keep the tank a little dryer, to help fend off infection rich environments (like hot, humid hides), apply a little neosporin to her tail, and just check it every day. If it starts to look pink/red, swollen, and painful take her to a vet.

ive read several threads that people put neosporin on the end. someone else may chime in and varify that.

Edit: looks like Olimpia beat me to the post. Side note, I was in p**** earlier to pick up a few things and stopped to look at the baby leo's, and half of them were missing tales. When i was in there not even a weak ago they all had them. They have all these little guys in there with a big juvenile that litterally had the hide all to himself while all the others were in a corner. All their tail ends were swollen and red. =\

Don't beat yourself up. These things happen, unfortunately. Just keep her calm and quiet...there's no need to mess with the injury at all, just make sure she keeps it clean...hopefully she's not on loose substrate, if she is just put her on some paper towels while her tail heals. Some say to use Neosporin, but I think this usually ends up adding more stress to the situation. Sorry about the accident :(

Holly, sorry to hear about Pearl's tail. You will want a constant calcium source available to her also. From talking with you previously, I think you have that covered.

I don't know exactly how long it will take to grow back but I know it will over a couple months period of time.. Tails seem to grow back better when the gecko is not of adult age so that is a plus for Pearl.

Thank you Thad the vet said that right now she is doing well and she is eating well too so from what you are saying it will take some time to heal and so I will give her time to heal but at lease she is eating for me. :)

We had a young one lose her tail. After about 2 weeks we could see a little nub in the center of the stump, but full growth did take a couple months.
