My rescue Now/Then

Hi.

I got my first Leo from somebody who wasn't able to take care of it so i took it(only had snakes by that time).
He was really skinny and unhealthy for his age(about 9-10 months) and had a dirty cage that was heated with a heating thing for pains in the back.
(temps totally off).
I fell in love with Leo's shortly after that and he is and will always be my favorite Gecko.
Now to the pics.

THEN(remember no hatchling but 9-10 months of age):

I know i just talked about dirty cages above but he really likes to run through his calci dish and no matter how often i clean his cage after a few minutes it looks like that and you really see it on the green repti carpet.

Did he have any health problems (parasites, bacterial infection) other than being malnourished/ incorrect setup? I too am working with a rescue that came to me looking similiar to your gecko at first and I was just looking for tips. He looks amazing by the way. You deserve a pat on the back! :)

Wow that's an amazing recovery! Bastian, what specifically did you do for him? Did you work with a vet? How long did it take?

(The before picture reminds me of a sickly looking leo named Caith that unfortunately didn't make it.)

Thankl you for all your kind words but you deserve pat on the back too since everybody here went the extra mile for helping me because i had slim to none knowledge about gecko care when i got him.
So thank you Geckoforum guys.

He had no parasites and i only showed him ti a vet once to get a complete check up,he had bone problems due to the fact that the lady didn't even know what supplements are and the vet said his chances are 50/50.
I received a special calcium vitamin supplement and thats it.
Feeding him in the beginning was a lot of trouble since he was so powerless to even try to hunt something.
But now he is in great shape and eats everything.
I really really love him and wouldn't sell him for anything.
