Lets give him a chance before everybody jumps on him. The pictures are a little hard to tell and the pop ups prevent us from seeing a better picture. It sounds like he has done a fair amount of work and spent a lot of time on this project so lets wait and see what they look like when he starts offering them for sale.

Not to be rude but there are plenty of people who would be all over this "new" gecko if it were one of the big name breeders. Just a slight change in the color and they call it something new without doing any work to prove it but people buy it because so and so made it.

Looks like a Tangerine Patternless Stripe Eclipse.
So like a Raptor but without Albino.

IDK Looks like a Reverse Stripe, which has since faded away. Which would more or less make it a Patternless Striped Eclipse, or Hypo Reverse Stripe(w/black eyes). Given the breedings you have made, I do not know what else it could be.

After that I breed the (super) hypo tangerines with black eyes to a nice reverse striped. Now I got some reverse striped (super) hypo tangerines het black eye. I breed them to each other and the result were this little one I show you, the blue stripe was a new mutation.

Yep, sounds like that is about all you could have produced from this too. You could possibly have a new eye trait there, other than that, I do not see anything out of the ordinary, at all.

I second this, c'mon people, put your claws away!... This guy thinks he's got something here, if he does then it will eventually prove out, if he doesn't well then, it doesn't.... SO WHAT?... no need to be so catty.

Max, cool gecko!:main_thumbsup:

the reason people are getting defensive is because the morphs are too confusing as is. alot of breeders are calling morphs different names, which is confusing. (rainwater-lasvegas, bell-florida, tremper-texas, to name a few) the LAST thing that people need is someone that is jumping the gun by claiming that their is a new morph on the market, before knowing if it is just a a normal tang dorsal stripe or really is something new. making a bold claim like this should be backed up with tons of info. and i dont think it would be too hard to post some generation pics. if this really is a 'new morph' then the best of luck to you.

Initially I failed to see the blue stripe, but with the direct links I can see faint blue. It would be nice if you can increase the blue through more selective breeding. As I said before, good luck with your project, it's coming along nicely.

I think a lot of you need to get off your high horses... Seriouly... This person came out and presented a morph that looks different than a reverse stripe and may have a new eye morph... When was the last time you have seen a real SHTCTB with jet black eyes??? Come on now... How many breeders have their own name for morphs that are not new??? Some even named a morph that did not even originate in their breeding stock...

This guy can name his animal whatever he wants... Just because it is not certain breeders you may know that produced and named this animal, it does not make this person naming a morph any less legit... Get off it already...

Wait till you see the crazy animals I produce this season and the crazy name I call them... Why??? Because I want to....

I second this...I mean seriously, he may have something. Yes, he should keep breeding it down the line to gain quality. Because I believe a new morph should have strong traits, and should be able to be bred and keep the traits :D

Max...that is a very exciting gecko, and I bet that the true colors don´t show very good at the pic. It´s so hard to catch it with the camera and the blue color is probably much more intense irl.
I remember when we talked about your gecko when we meet in Hamm and thanks for showing it here. It would be really interesting to see the gecko live...maybe in Hamm, next time?

With as many "new morph" claims as we all hear you can't blame people for being sceptical. Anyone has a chance at discovering a new mutation, especially when crossing morphs, it's just not common. It's the luck of the draw. I wish you luck with your project. Proving out a new mutation is a lot of work.

Proving out a new mutation is a lot of work.

He had done so for 4 to 5 years already... Did you not read the posts??? Way longer than other breeders have done before releasing a new morph, thats for sure...

Put me down for one when you are ready to release some... Beautiful animal... It would be great to get solid eyes without having to worry about getting snake eyes, partial snake eyes or having reverse stripe patterns and striped tails...

It still needs refining, and I could do without any attitude from you, thanks. If you want to claim that something has a blue stripe it should be more prominent, in my opinion. If you didn't notice while you were reading the posts, I've been showing him support, Sm@rt@ss. I apologise for my mud slinging too, but I'm not feeling good right now. Cool your jets Gregg. Maybe you should take the time to read the posts too.
