Hello, my name is Fernando

I run a website/forum called Tortoiseinfo.org

I am about to receive my first Leopard Gecko in the next week, so I wanted to get as much information as I need to get started.

I have a vivarium that I can place the gecko in, but I would like to know if I can use a Ceramic Heat Emitter or Red heat bulb for the warm side, until I can purchase a heat pad.

Also can you tell me if this is just a normal Leopard Gecko? Does he look healthy?

These are pictures that the owner sent me.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to GF. You can use a ceramic heat emitter if it can make the floor on one side in the low 90's. Most people prefer using an under tank heater. The gecko looks really healthy with a nice fat tail. It would probably be called a super hypo (no spots on the body), tangerine (usually more orange than that, but people do call that color tangerine sometimes) baldy (no spots on the head).
