Joe, alot of the europeans keep their geckos in naturalistic vivariums on what we would call "play sand". if it works for them thats cool. its the calci sands you need to stay away from. he has been keeping geckos for a while now, so i am sure he is experienced in keeping geckos on "play sand"

Not to puch this thread into another subject section, but...

I had my first gecko on sand for two years before I ever heard that they weren't supposed to be on sand. I bought it at the New England reptile expo, and the dude selling the tanks and such is the one who gave it to me. My leo is one tough nugget, and survived much mis-keeping before I did the research into how they're to be kept. I don't think I could kill her if I tried. I have all mine on paper towels now, but not for health reasons. It's just so much easier to pick up the towel and put down a new one.

is this better for you :)?

yup you have two bold stripes! the stripes have begun to break up and the females in narrower than the males but two bold stripes you have. breeding those two should result in bold offspring anf hopefully they will keep the bold stripe longer before breaking up (getting spotty)

thank you for the larger photos :D
