This little guy hatched REALLY early this morning. He is the result of my Mack Raptor x Dreamsicle pairing. I was STOKED about these eggs hatching, and I don't want to get my hopes up TOO high quite yet, but I think I may have hatched myself a dreamsicle. My nova hatchling had no where near as much white as this guy does. So I am turning to the experts for confirmation. Nova or Dreamsicle?

I'd guess dreamsicle, too, but I've never hatched one yet to be sure.

Congrats on the beautiful baby!!!

I had to look at the different pics five times. They both looked exactly the same. But now the first one looks whiter.

Great babies! Either way those two are my favorite morphs! :)

That's a really hard call. It seems a bit yellow for a Dreamsicle to me. Some albino Enigmas hatch very light, even with no snow genetics.

I voted Dream, but now that I've been looking at it, it makes me wonder. The NOVA blotching could just be that big. It you compare the two, they both HAVE roughly the same color, the latest one just has way less of it. Don't put too much stock in my opinion though, I'm just comparing pics and don't really know that much about it.

No hard call for me at all. That is a Dreamsickle. I have hatched some Dreamsickles that have a lot more color than I would expect for a snow to have...however, that is certainly a Dreamsickle and their is no where near enough pigmentation for me to presume otherwise. Another identifier (although this is by no means a sure way to tell) is the presence of a white collar on it. I have seen very few novas that have had the collar, but almost all of my Dreamsickles have hatched and maintained a collar for most of their life. This is my opinion on the matter :)

I've only hatched one dream but it was completely white when it hatched and then developed the yellow saddles as it got older. Not suggesting yours isn't a dream though.

I think it's funny that two people voted that Maia doesn't know she's talking about... from THIS thread? Come on...

Part of me wanted to make this thread public, for the simple fact to see exactly who thinks what. One of the reasons I left it private was because I thought I might get more responses, and I was probably right.

I think it's funny too, and I actually added it simply for a joke.

What's also interesting is that now more people think it's a Nova. I honestly hope it's not a Nova. I see a white body base, with a few saddles. I hatched a nova couple of months ago, and it's body base was pink.

Now that I say this, I know more people are going to say it's a nova. If it IS in fact a nova, it's going up for sale.

Suprise, suprise.

The vote for nova is quickly getting larger. ::rolls eyes::

Why can't anyone tell me WHY it's a nova instead of a dream? Or vice versa?
