hmmm... good observation there, Robin. Perhaps she is working on developing a strain of crypto-resistant geckos?

I sort of remember her saying last year that she put a very young gecko she produced in with her adults and was surprised when the larger geckos ate the baby.

*warning - stupid question*

Ok, so I wasn't here last year when all of that happened I guess. Do all of her herps die or does she sell them or what? Why does she go through so many?

That's not a dumb question, I've been around the whole time and I don't have a great answer for that. I've never seen her sell a thing, but I have read plenty of posts where animals have escaped. My only guess is that they were running in fear.

Having animals running loose around your home is always a good way to prevent the spread of pathogens.

I have seen her buy things and sell them a short time later...usually to purchase something new. She sold something to raise money for her first cresteds and loved them to death until 2 months later when she had to get rid of them to make money for a bunch of corn snakes she agreed to purchase. Same thing with her Chameleon. Bought it and sold it in a month or two.

She did put a baby in the the adults, and then said she didn't know they would cannibalize.

She did lose a monitor and then never found it.

I HATE that she asked info on a baslisk, and when hearing about the enclosure requirements she said she wouldn't get it. Guess who had a baslisk not 24 hours later?
