Here are pictures of our 5 leopard geckos, Mayah is the smalest and the youngest she has only just started her banding so that should give you a rough idea of her age. Milo is the smallest hypo albino and is propably the best hunter out of all the gecko's we own. Lea is a beautiful tremper albino although she is blind in one eye and has trouble climbing but that doesn't stop her eating most of the food out of her viv,Leo is the only adult normal leopard gecko we own and is probably the most active although very lovable and loves company of either other geckos or people,Are newest addition to our family of leo's is a stunning tremper albino/normal gecko called Sky she is the biggest and probably the oldest in our lizard family.

They're gorgeous! Lovely leos. :)

Don't mean to be intrusive, but how large is the tank?.. And have you read that sand is dangerous?

yep looks good. altho i don't know about the calci-sand. even regular play sand is safer than calci-sand. if you want a natural looking substrate you could try natural looking tiles, or clay substrate like Excavator or something.

just a thought...

cheers for ur replies guys, to start with i know theres a large debate about what substrate to use but i think calcium sand is ok i have had no problems with it so far but if i do i will soon switch to rc or tiles guys and thanks for saving my leos are cute i love them to bits. Yer i have had lots of questions about myah and she is so skinny because she is only jst over a month old ut she is a beautifull baby and she eats the food i give her so theres no problms with her. Although we have had her at the vet and sh sed its cos of how young she is.
The tank that we house are 3 leos in is a 30gallon although we have seperated 1 of the leos cos she aint eating well and decided to keep her apart
to keep an eye on her we have decided that we are gunna keep her own tank for most of her life now cos she seems much happier

here is a pic of her

Yeah it could be your vet is another knows-nothing-correctly-about-leos vet, she looks beyond skinny, just look at the hatchlings on this forum, none of them are that skinny.

Maya is a bit older than a month, her patterns are already breaking up. That gecko looks scary skinny. On sand: I've used sand for 5+ years, both repti-sand and play sand, and I've had no problems. Babies go on paper, adults get the natural look.

I agree w/ them about the 1st gecko pic is too skinny and over a month b/c of her length and spots already, at a month they still have bands and aren't as long. How are you Gutloading the inscects your using?? Crickets are great eaters and will eat almost anything. I suggest using the yellow calcuim gel for H20 and some vegs & fruits for to eat also fish food works great! Has alot of protein! Good Luck fatting her up! Papertowel will probably help her catch them better and much safer. give her as much food as she wants yes, but don't leave crickets in 24/7 they're bad for the gecko to be left in the tank, and when I used them I also left a piece of dog food in the tank where the crickets hide just in case I miss one. Then they're leave the gecko alone & eat the dog food. Do you have calcuim in the tank for them? If not I highly suggest it. Vionate is great for young gecko's & Oster-Form for adults. Or use Rep-cal ultra fine powder w/ D3 and W/O phosphorus in it for all your gecko's esp. any thin gecko's. I do think overall that the calcuim shows on the gecko quicker when you get a type w/o the Phosphorus and w/ D3 in it any brand. If you have any questions let me know,pm or email, I'm happy to help. Also mealworms are great b/c you can easily leave them in the dish all the time also easier to house, keep, feed, have IMO.
