Guys, a bill of that scope and broadness will never be passed... What are they going to do with the millions of reptiles in the trade and in private collections... It is unrealistic and there will be no way they can monitor everyone or stop trade... Plus this bill, if put into effect, will take billions of dollars from the American economy and we all know (government included) that the ecomony can not afford other industries to be hit...

I agree totally but we can't just sit by and hope that we are right! We have to contact everyone we can just to let them know that we are a strong organized community and not a bunch of idiots that let animals loose into the wild! How many times have you told someone about the hobby that had no clue that it was such a reputable market? People need to realize that it is more than just something to do!

I have all the letters printed and I'm sending them tomorrow. I'll call and followup on Monday.

I don't think this bill will pass because it's too broad, but it's good to let congress know what they are up against the next time they try to take our reptiles away.

Actually the US is one of the largest exporters of animals! Alot of people that are not in the US may think this will not affect them but it will eventually!

You are probably right but who thought it would even make it as far as it has? I know I never thought it would be voted on! Nobody is "getting their panties in a ball"! This action needs to happen! Just because this bill may not be passed is no reason not to respond! We need to get organized now and show these people that we are not a bunch of freaks sitting at home playing with snakes! That way when smaller things are brought up later, that could easily be passed, it will be as simple as a few letters and emails to members who know what's going on to start the process! Look at the restrictions allready! For example Floridas ban on "big constrictors"! If we get organized now, it will be easier to keep things like that from going nationwide!

Its funny i see people here saying it wont happen it wont happen,look on youtube and forums and all the breeders of animals that dont come from america they are scared because they know there business may be gone so to here people to say it wont happen that the reason breeders are scared its because most or alot of us are just say it wont happen the day has come that if we want something we have to stand up and be wary because these people are banking on alot of us not doing anything.I know for myself that i dont want this to pass what will i tell my kids down the road when i have to get rid of there animals because i didnt stand up and do anything to let her have her pet that would be horrible i want my kids to have something i was able to have because look around folks there dissapearing all around lets stop this now PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO HELP ANYTHING sorry for the caps just want people to understand alot of people on here will be jobless and we just need to do are part look up on youtube or on here for websites to help out but please do your part
