i know right, i was thinking he was atleast 8-9 months old until i realize when the picture was taken. there is where i came to the conclusion he was a giant but i guess i was wrong
unless you can prove that there are giant genetics in the animals lineage I would just consider them big animals. I have an animal that is 115 g but is not a giant. He is heavy but isn't nearly as long as the giants that I have.
Giant genetics are kinda tricky and highly debatable. I've had a couple 'giants' in my collection (I no longer have them - I traded them out), anyways, it really depends on the length of the gecko. Giants usually have a really long and lanky looking body, with equally long tails. When you see a giant - you just know by looking at the body structure. Some guidelines for giant leos is they have to be at least 10" + in length and over 100 grams by one year of age.
