Hey everyone. I have had my male and female together now for a couple months and almost 2 weeks ago they finally started doing the deed. I am not sure if he has been actually "getting in there" or not, because when I seem them go at it, he does a ton of repositioning and not for very long. I'm hoping at some point he has been successful atleast once. I removed him tonight and put him in his own tank to let my female chill out. Everytime I go in to mist their moist hide he goes right to her and mounts. Anyways, here are some pictures of them. I have had the female (Mary) for 5 1/2 years, since she was a baby and the male (Elvis) for 1 1/2 years and should be about 3 1/2 years old. He was given to me by my g/f as a present. I am not 100% sure of what albino she is, I'm thinking Tremper and he looks to be a blizzard to me. I'm not sure if she is prego or not, does she look it?

Nice looking male. I say that chances are that if they've been together for a couple months then she probably is gravid. But you can never be sure though, is it both of their first times to mate?

Depends on how long ago the male fertilized your female...can you get some shots of her belly? (Put her in a clear container and photo from the bottom...) If they conceived 2weeks ago, you should start to see bright, white eggs in her belly by now.

Thanks Krow.Yeah, it's the first time for both of them. I had her so long I was sketchy about putting her with a male so they sat in tanks right next to each other for an entire year and then I got the nerve to put them both in a 20 gal long and they were fine. Tomorrow I will try and get some pics of her belly for you guys/gals.

Oh and she's a tremper and he's a blizzard right?

Maybe? I can't tell very well but it does look like maybe she has small eggs in there. I would check her again in another week, because if she does have something you will deffinately be able to tell as time goes by. Make sure to give her extra food just in case she is.

Hi Olimpia, thanks for your input. I have been trying to feed her but she either takes maybe one or two meal worms or nothing at all, like today.

Hmm... I don't know what to suggest there, the only female I have that has been gravid so far eats like a maniac all the time, even when she was about to lay her eggs and she was so round it was riddiculous. So I'm not sure, but keep offering lots of food anyway and make sure all the temperatures are comfortable for them, I suppose.

Well maybe if she isn't pregnant since its kind of hard to tell in those pics, she might be ovulating since when they ovulate they go on hunger strikes, now would be the perfect time to pair them up.
