This is a very emotional photo of the one surviving boa being rescued. According to their FB page, there were also a few ratsnakes that survived in their cages, and a handful of eggs that haven't hatched yet...

I have been physically sick over this tragedy, especially after seeing so many devastating photos on PE's Facebook page. I think this is every keeper/breeder's worst nightmare... one that Pro Exotics surely wishes they could wake up from. I simply cannot wrap my brain around a loss of this epic proportion. For all it's faults, the reptile community comes together to support our friends and colleagues in times like this. I hope we will be able to support them after their shock wears off and they really need the help. My heart aches for them...

I agree Marcia. I was surprised to see such support from the community as quickly as it happened. Give it a couple days and it will hit them hard and they will really need the support. The losses then have supersede financial and the tragic loss of so much life, but also years and years of hard work on projects and becoming such an established name in reptiles. They are awesome guys on both the business and personal levels. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those that this accident affects.

They infact did have leos here, too, I believe. They said they have over 800 leos. :( I think once things start to settle, an auction should be done, not only to help defray any costs, but to show our support to their dedication they have for world class reptiles.

Id be interested to know when things get settled, I would just donate to them a couple of Leo's! My new project is all made of fantastic genetics...its a start!!!

I could be mistaken, but from what I remember they got out of leos several years ago to focus on other projects.

This is soooo sad :(.... Looking at all the pictures on facebook. I cant imagine what there going through.. They said it was all snakes. They have a separate building for lizards, so they where fine. But still. All that hard work with the snakes.. Its just sad. Makes me wanna cry :/. And to think what them snakes went through..

Its a very bad loss for them and everyone in the reptile community. I just purchased a PE-2 temp gun from them just a few weeks ago. Give it a few days im sure someone will set up a donation fund. For now the best thing we can all do is keep them in our prayers and help them by supporting......its a sad thing but he seems to be keeping a great attitude. They will be in my prayers.
