Apparently in the case of this little girl, why yes, yes it does!
Im confused. SO the bold stripe was het eclipse and you proved the emerine to be het as well?
Very nice gecko too
Well, I don't think it's quite that simple. When you breed a Bold Stripe to a reverse Stripe, occasionally you will produce what we call a "Patternless Stripe", which is basically a non Albino Aptor. Well, all Aptors are 100% "het" Eclipse. When you breed two Patternless Stripes to each other, they produce Eclipses. So it appears that somehow the genetics of the Stripe combined with the Patternless Stripe (in this case she was also an Emerine) can also produce Eclipses. Well, either that or this was a total fluke LOL. You never know, these wonderful geckos are full of mystery.
That's weird. A Bold Stripe x Reverse Stripe= Patternless Stripe
And a Patternless Stripe x Patternless Stripe= some eclipses! So basically you could obtain an eclipse without starting out with a het or hom Eclipse.
