I'm not a gecko doctor though.
Obviously!:main_no: If this kid can't "afford" to take this animal to a vet what makes you think he can "afford" to purchase some kinda "medication" from the UK. If your not a qualified vet please DO NOT give medication suggestions and links to purchase to a kid who obviously is not willing to get proper VET care for an animal that is severly ill! :main_no:
+1 But no worries he won't listenThis thread started as an impaction issue. Has that been resolved? Moving on to potential parasites, if a person doesn't have experience in gecko rehabilitation and needs help dealing with impaction (usually a simple issue)- why would anyone recommend they obtain a prescription medication for an un-diagnosed illness? In case you wonder how a person gains experience.........everyone I know who rehabs geckos and other lizards has learned these procedures from qualified reptile veterinarians, and have some sort of relationship with their vet in order to contact them with questions or a sudden appointment if needed.
Just because a person has some healthy herps doesn't mean they're capable of rehabilitating a sick one. I've seen too many times on this forum where members give specific information to help and the person asking cuts every corner just to do a half-assed quick fix.
I refuse what YOU tell me. Not "I refuse all suggestions.."
Kiddo all suggestions have been TAKE THAT ANIMAL TO A VET!!!!!
