I'm not a gecko doctor though.

Obviously!:main_no: If this kid can't "afford" to take this animal to a vet what makes you think he can "afford" to purchase some kinda "medication" from the UK. If your not a qualified vet please DO NOT give medication suggestions and links to purchase to a kid who obviously is not willing to get proper VET care for an animal that is severly ill! :main_no:

This thread started as an impaction issue. Has that been resolved? Moving on to potential parasites, if a person doesn't have experience in gecko rehabilitation and needs help dealing with impaction (usually a simple issue)- why would anyone recommend they obtain a prescription medication for an un-diagnosed illness? In case you wonder how a person gains experience.........everyone I know who rehabs geckos and other lizards has learned these procedures from qualified reptile veterinarians, and have some sort of relationship with their vet in order to contact them with questions or a sudden appointment if needed.

Just because a person has some healthy herps doesn't mean they're capable of rehabilitating a sick one. I've seen too many times on this forum where members give specific information to help and the person asking cuts every corner just to do a half-assed quick fix.
+1 But no worries he won't listen

I refuse what YOU tell me. Not "I refuse all suggestions.."

Kiddo all suggestions have been TAKE THAT ANIMAL TO A VET!!!!!

Really? It's legal medication that's sold in most vets in the UK, reptiles have a very good immune system I'm sure a 5ml dosage over 5 days wouldn't kill it, or they wouldn't sell it. You can buy cat and dogs antibiotic over the counter and still run the risk of ODing them, read the instructions.

I guess you don't have these in the usa.

"JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN...DOESN"T MEAN YOU SHOULD" The most obviously ridiculous idea I can think of is to treat an animal for something when you have NO clue what it actually has!! That's Cruelty!

Ok I think enough has been said, I hope the lad brings this gecko up to health I have faith he can do it,

It needs to see a vet yes but there are cases of impactation that have been treated at home with success. Whether this lad is successful or not its all a learning curve for him

Keep us updated illed like to know if he does well.

Dust your wax worms with calcium, and yellow feces could mean dehydration (as well as some other illness) use your syringe to give your gecko a few drops of water.

It's unfortunate you call it a learning curve when the gecko's well-being is at stake.

Agreed (mostly), there are some cases where vet advice would be great, but some things are common knowledge now... granted this may not be one of those cases. Just FFR

You should be quarantining any new animals ESPECIALLY sick animals. You put your entire collection at risk. Diseases can be airborne you know. You have a lot to learn my friend. Hopefully this isn't a very costly lesson for the animals sake.

Are you even sure its pooping and not puking up the food. from the vid it has nothing going completely through the system.

GO TO A VET!!!!!!
you are in fact breaking the law by not doing so. either forfeit the animal to the humane society or give it the care IT NEEDS!!!!!

if the best you can provide is not enough THEN GIVE IT UP!!!!!!!

Ive searched mulberry and flukers and lllreptiles..but shipping is worth more than the package its self and i honestly cant afford that.

I don't mean to be rude, but then why do you have all those reptiles? I don't understand why people continue to buy more and can't afford to even feed them correctly or get vet care. If you would had stuck with just one, you can give that one a better quality of life. I recommend you rehome a few for their own well being. We all would like to have a lot but it's not fair to them if you can't afford vet care if they get sick or feed them healthy food items.
