Raptor

I found a raptor locally for a very nice price. I am having trouble finding pics that look like him tho. He is 4yrs old a proven breeder and all white. He has one red eye and the other eye is half and half. Does this sound like a raptor to you???

He is about 7 inches long about 50 grams or a little more. Does this sound like a good buy for a first time Leo owner?
I found a nice 30gallon tank for cheap $10 that I want to house him and a female in.

It will be him by his self for about a month until I find a nice female for him. What do you guys suggest breeding a raptor to? I was thinking of finding a nice blazing blizzard to pair him up with. What do you guys think???

Sorry forgot to say he has yellowish orange on his bumps on his body. From what I see raptors have two red eyes he has one solid red eye and the other is half and half.

A raptor! Shouldn't you try your hand at raising leopard geckos first?

:tongue3: Seriously though. Let's start off by saying the more-or-less obvious, that you'll want at least two tanks in the future (even before you get eggs), so you can quarantine the female and give her a place to live once you don't want her in with the male any longer, if he or she are too aggressive, etc.

For the price I cannot pass up the raptor. I can get a bell albino for the same price for a comparison. I'm not getting a female right away, it will be at least a month. I have owned many reptiles before I am just new to leos so you don't have to be so hard on me lol.

The guy is local so the price is gonna be cheaper plus he is a little overloaded with eggs now so he is trying to clear space. He had multiple cages and racks plus 2 incubators full of eggs.

He said he is going for diablo blancos now so he needs to clear some space and I don't blame him. I was wondering if you guys think this sounds like a raptor or not. I just don't wanna get ripped off.

What would you guys pair a raptor with? If I get another raptor and breed them together will I get all raptors. I am new to breeding these and I have alot to learn still. I don't want to rush into breeding just yet, I just need some good info.

I figure hey I like the raptor so why not start with it. It's not like it's a $1000 gecko you know. I like dealing with people locally also.

As soon as I get him I will post pics. I didn't want to start with a small gecko at first. He was so nice, he let me hold him and he just hung out on my hand lol.
I've always like leos I just now made up my mind to get one or two lol.

Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it, even if some of you are a little rough on me it's all good.

Thanks for the raptor x raptor advice.
How long in your experience do leos normally live? I heard around 6-10 years then Around 20 years online. I just want to clear up any mis information that I am getting.
I thought 6 years was a short time and I got a lil worried since that raptor is 4yrs old. I'm probably getting worked up over nothing lol.

I don't know what it is called but the bumps that are on a leos skin are orangeish yellow. His body base color is white but the raised parts of his skin are not white. Plus he has alot of orange color on his head. I should of taken a pic of him while I was there.

I have a pic in my email and I can forward it to someone if you provide me a email address.

It is hard to describe it really lol. I looked at about 10 different adults and 4 hatchlings today so I may of gotten it confused. He claims he bought it from tremper but I can't prove it ya know. He does look like the raptors on Trempers site tho.

I will try to post this pic of him but it probably won't work

that is the pic he sent me. He said it's a year old the photo so i don't know if he is hustling me or not. I'm trying to find that photo on that site now. Sorry if I am breaking any rules right now but that is the only photo I have from the guy.

I deleted the link I found the pic he sent me on a breeders site

He has hatchlings from a snow x raptor for $35 a bell albino for $75, a really dark blizzard for $30, and adult female snows for $60. The prices seem good to me since i don't have to pay shipping but now I'm debating if I should go to the reptile show on Sunday and look around or not.

I really like the raptor he has, I mean even if it's not a raptor I will still be happy with it but for the price I don't think I can beat getting a big male raptor for $60.

raptor can have snake eyes or full red eyes. The trouble is a mack snow raptor can also look like a raptor , but u have to go to lineage.A mack snow raptor is a cross between a mack snow and a raptor.I have both raptors and mack snow raptors with full red eyes and snake eyes.A raptor is a combination morph of eclipse, patternless stripe .if u breed a raptor to a raptor obviously the hatcling s will be raptors, but u are not guaranteed to have complete ruby eyes.that is totally random
