I've been waiting and waiting for Oct. 31st...the perfect time to show off these little beauties.

Actually, this is a re-introduction of the Halloween Masks. For those of you that have been around a while, you probably remember Albey posting some pictures of these. In fact, Albey (Albey's too cool reptiles) did most of the work on these to my knowledge. Basically, Albey worked on these in the late 90's and produced some cool stuff...very bold, aberrant jungle markings and inheritable head patterns (...that look kind of like masks). Hopefully Albey will add/correct any history here that I have wrong. Well, over the years I dropped a few hints...and patience paid off. Albey was gracious enough to let me begin working with his breeders this season to see what more can be done with their traits (thanks again Albey :D ). With my limited time working with them, I can say that I've noticed a cool trend in their development. The bold markings get "bolder" with age, rather than "breaking a part" as I'm used to with most jungles & bolds. There are a few other neat traits, but I don't want this to get too wordy.

The first pictures are of some of my favorite hatchlings so far this season. They are from Halloween Mask x Halloween Mask pairings only.

Next are a few shots of some of the breeders from Albey. And then a picture or two of some of the original geckos Albey used to get this project started back in the day.

Hope you enjoy!

We'll eventually have a web page dedicated to the progress of the Halloweens...along with our other projects once we get a bit more caught up. We'll be crossing the Halloweens with a couple other traits to see how it pairs up...hopefully the bold markings can be crossed into other colors & morphs. ;)

And just to go along with the Halloween theme...here's a bit of orange eye-candy.
Of course, unrelated to the Halloween masks (for now...)...but still, the credit goes to Albey for these tangs.

Thanks for looking!
Happy Halloween....

Hey Paul, is that you? Greatest costume I've seen this year :)

Seriously, though, those head patterns are incredible! Thanks for posting them

Awesome patterns on these for sure! I was admiring them awhile back on Albey's site I do believe.
