even though its not time wise premiture, is it possable that its just underdeveloped because of not eating all of the yoke?

Interesting little one! I agree it appears to be a little premature, and since the color is the last thing to develop, it may have some real pretty coloration after it's first shed!!!

Yeah, it's kinda small and didn't absorb all its yolk, so that could explain the way it looks, if it did not develop all its pigment. I'll keep ya posted!
