A few of you know that my incubators went down yesterday because my power company refuses to fix the underground trunk line in front of my condo correctly for the last 5 years. They have dug it up 12 times I remember withing a 100 foot span... GGRRRRR.

Well without getting into a novel, the female cookers were down for 5-6 hours and the male cooker was down for roughly 10 hours(blew my breaker in that zone)

found a male today and this female that made me smile :D Just a tremper het eclipse, but I think she's a cutey.

She is a cutie. Glad to hear that it looks like things are going to be just fine after that power outage. :main_thumbsup:

Thanks!!!! I am at ease alittle more right now, but a few more weeks will tell the tale. I am going to have to figure something out, because my heart can't take that again any time soon. A few less hatchlings would be a blessing in disguise though....

Chris, I don't stone the messenger, but they all know how I feel about the bandaid approach they are told to use.

Wow.. At least it seems that so far things were affected too much... My mom has told me to invest in a few generators for power outages, so that I can keep the racks and incubators plugged in. We have 1 or 2 small ones, but they won't give in enough long-lasting power if they're not charged or whatever. Plus they use them for fans when the power goes out.

Sweet hatchling! I hope things work out... Get a diesel generator... Chris could snag one from a coal mine in WV on his way up... :D

I feel your pain, Paul. A few years ago we had the power go out for 6 1/2 hours with full incubators in the middle of January. We had no issues with any of the eggs. Hope you have the same luck.

Glad to hear it didn't cause a major problem. You could also try a power conditioner that has battery backup. Best Power makes some good ones, but they're not cheap.

Thanks for the laugh mike and chris and that awesome news Jason H.

I was thinking about battery backup used for computers for my cookers, but my racks are the tough issue to deal with in a condo.

Glad things went well. I'm sure everyone else will be. Living in Fl one gets used to power outages that are frequent during hurricane season. You could always try heat packs next time to help keep the bators warm.

Hate to hear all the power company woes Paulie. But like Chris said we could make a trip up there for ya. HA may take even longer next time it goes out though if we did. Glad to hear all is looking up now though!!
