We weren't planning on buying anything at the show but Jeff at Texas Reptile Exchange had a trio of Xenagama Taylori that were too cool to pass up. We still need to pick up some slate for their tank so they're sort of temporarily set up. How cute is it that they use their tail as a shield to cover the opening of the cave (last photo)?!

Thanks guys! I had never seen them before either and there's not a ton of info out there on them but we're really excited to have them. Keith owned a reptile shop back in the 90's so it takes something pretty unique to get him excited and these did the trick. They're really fast when they want to be (chasing food) but super docile when you pick them up. The personality kind of reminds me of a bearded dragon or uromastyx.

They look very nice. My wife would have snagged those up as well...she is the only one allowed to do spur of the moment reptile purchases haha

They remind me a lot of Uros, just a miniature version. These adults are the same size as a baby Uromastyx. They're tiny!

It's really neat to watch how they burrow too. The other day one had buried it's entire body in the dirt and just it's head was sticking out. lol

Very cool lizards! I wanted to get some in the past, but can't find much care about them... like what size enclosure is required to house a trio.

Regards,
Kenny

Definitely going to do some research on these guys. My parents would kill me if I brought anything else home right now, but these guys might end up in my collection sometime in the future. Keep us updated on how they're doing.
