I was all excited for the easter exchange and now I am sad because I just found my famle dead... She hadnt been doing good for a few months I think laying the 5 clutches last year was hard on her. And she hadnt ate in about a month, and i thought my male was bullying her, so i made her her own new cage yesterday, new cage, humid hide, cave, water bowel, the whole works. And she seemed to be moving around more today, not just hiding in her cave like she has done for a month unless she came out to soke in the water bowell. And then I saw her go in the humid hide today and thought that should help her relax. And she had been in there for a few hours so i just checked on her and she was dead, the temp was at 85, it was humid, she wasnt super skinny, no signs of anything wrong. I am heart broken... And my male is too he has been running around the cave all day, after not coming out of the cave yesterday, its like he knew something was wrong... Man this is the hard part of owning these amazing animals...

im sorry josh. maybe with luck your bunny will have something nice for you. im sorry for your loss, but it was just her time. And soemtimes the day a person or animal dies its the best day of their lives (good apetite, energy level... etc etc) pick a nice plot for her and lay her to rest :(

I'm sorry you had to find her. I found my very first gecko deceased not too long ago and it's heartbreaking.

You gave it your best shot, and things just didn't work out unfortunately. It's very sad, and it's okay to be depressed, in denial, angry and such, but eventally you'll come to a stage of grief called acceptance...and that's when you'll be okay. :)

This.
Because it's true.

I am so sorry for your loss, but don't give up.

I lost a gecko in December, and it broke my heart. I took a break for a few months from "the gecko world", and did what I had to do to get through it.
As has been said, it's NEVER easy losing a pet.
But you'll get through it.:main_yes:

I think burying her where you said you were going to sounds perfect.

I am sorry too. Sometimes these things just happen, for whatever reason. There is so much that we still do not know about them, my vet told me that once when I took one of my girls to him, she passed within two days of getting her home. I hope you cheer up sometime soon.. she is in heaven and atleast now you know she isnt in pain.. if she was before.

the day my baby turtle died, one i'de won at a carnival and forced myself to try to save, he had the best day of his life. I took him outside in the sun and he swam around. I was young, and i had him for so little time, my memory of him is little, but i love him. I remember holding him, pointing to my bigger turtles and saying, "someday you'll be that big and you'll join them." RIP Squirt.

I'm sorry about ur little girl. It's like losing a child. I hope she goes to leo heaven and eats all the waxies she can.
