Well my landlord doesn't know about any of my animals except the fish tank and dog. She might not like that i have 15 geckos, a ferrett, and 3 snakes too, lol! I keep everything clean so she wouldn't say anything if she found out or atleast i don't think so. She had problems with the previous owners destroying the place so as long as we keep everything nice, clean, and unbroken, lol, then i see no problem with it.

I hide animals from my parents all the time. I remember when I was about 13, I always loved ferrets but my mom hated them and wouldn't let me get one. My grandfather bought one for me, and I hide it in my room (not really hid but the cage was in my room) and the next morning she walked in and freaked, asking me "what the hell is in that cage William!?" in her angry yelling voice lol. Then recently I got more into reptiles and got my sister 2 anoles which I hid in my room for about 3 days before my parents found them, now I have my 2 leopard geckos which I only hid for about a day... I guess I'm getting a bit rusty. Now that I am 20 I can take care of my own animals so I don't think they care as much. I would also ask if I could get a kitten, if they said no I just brought them home (3 different ones at different times) because I knew they couldn't say no. We now have 4 cats, should be 5 but one disappeared (outdoor cats, I wouldn't keep them inside, they love being outside). I wouldn't want to be kept in a house knowing there was a whole world out there to explore. They eat and sleep inside and live outside when it's nice and warm :)

I'm lucky, my parents are fairly open minded about animals, as long as I can care for them. It was actually my dad's idea to get the hedge-hog. When I was little I constantly had "pet" caterpillars living in the house plants or on the porch.

I've never hidden animals, although on MANY occasions I've wanted one that I wasn't allowed to have. I really want a carpet python, but both my parents are 100% anti-snake. There's nowhere to really hide it, and even if there was they'd be furious if they found it. I'm living here because they're nice, and my dad has made it clear that I can stay with them as long as I need to, so I don't want to disappoint them or make them think that their decision was a mistake.

I had my own little ant farm in a tub hidden away in my room, it was awesome! :main_laugh:

There was also a fox at my grandmothers house who I fed scraps to, but I guess it either died or moved elsewhere, cos I haven't seen it in months.

Thanks everyone for the 'secrets' - I'll be checking my son's room on a weekly basis (even if it's scary in there!!!):main_evilgrin:

Since I am all grown up, only my hubby tries to dictate what comes in the house. He says NO pets, so of course we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 mice, 4 Grey tree frogs and 1 Leo (with another coming in a month or so).

He does say NO snakes, which is a bummer -- and I have worked really hard at finding a way to sneak one in, but its hard to hide another tank!!:main_rolleyes:

We have always had animals, so I've never really had to "sneak" any animals in, so to say.
I have, however, brought them home and put them in an enclosure and neglected to tell hubby about it. Sometimes its months before Capt. Oblivious notices and asks, "When did we get that?"

Yes I bought a gecko from Kelli once and didn't tell Jess for a little bit. We had gotten a "lot" that year and we had said we were probably not going to get anymore but I just had to get this one. I ended up needing to tell here a couple months later. she had even cleaned her tub out a time or two and hadn't noticed. so basically I was just trying to keeping her on her toe's:D.:devilish:
