selling animals: would you rather

when buying leos would you rather buy geckos directly from the breeder who produced them, in the instance of juvies and sub adults, buy from a middle man or do you not care?

* in the case of proven breeders or animals you buy young and they end up turning out not as you planned is different.

I've always bought directly from breeders. (All but once, I forgot I bought my Mack Eclipse from a friend, he bought it directly from the breeder.)

Breeder direct all the way. Middle man geckos can be touchy, not only do you not necessarily know the health/age/genetics but being able to possibly see the parents gives you a much better idea of what young animals will grow up to look like.

i do either or from breeders cuz then i know alot more bout the leo and also from the middle man cuz i would rather have them in my hands rather then they be mistreated by some one i do alot of rescuse and rehome alot to people i know and also will take great care for them

I wouldn't pass up a good animal from a reputable shop/middleman, but I prefer dealing directly with breeders.

I definitely prefer to buy direct from breeders. Some of mine came through a friend but I know the breeder they came from so I can still get answers to questions I may have about their history and genetics.

My first Leo was from a store, the second was an adoption and the next one I get will be from a breeder when the time is right.
