Lizzy finally ate after about 2 1/2 - 3 months of not eating and having capped eyes. We have gotten one cap off and we are working on the other, but my Lizzy ate all by herself today!

I was feeding her slurry and she attacked the dropper, she had such a good grip on it. I have never seen her mouth open that far!!! So I tried some mealworms in there and she went after them. I had to make sure that she could see them since she can only see out of her left eye right now. But all in all she ate 26 baby mealworms and a good amount of slurry.

I am a proud mom today!:2thumbsup:

I do have to add that I recently received Reptaid for her from Gesang on here and she was on it for 6 days and she had a dramatic turn around. :main_thumbsup:

Lizzy's mom: so my gecko is probably like yours but younger and has the same problem he just doesnt eat. I was just told about the slurry. Should I use that or Repta Aid first? Which one had the best results? ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin::main_evilgrin:

Lizzy will be 5 in August...I would definately start feeding the slurry as soon as you can. It is gross to make but you gotta help your leo. My husband made me buy another blender..he grossed out when I made the slurry! LOL

I saw that Repta aid in the store yesterday. It is different than REPTAID, but it is worth a shot. I was trying anything and everything. The guy that helped me yesterday was saying that his bearded dragon went through this when she was around this age, he said it's like they hibernate. He called it something else though and for the life of me I can't remember it! He said as long as they are still going to the bathroom and not losing a lot of tail mass or weight, they will be fine and come around when they are done. The 2 guys in there, along with this website, have kept me sane through all of this.;)

I am soooo glad the your Lizzy is doing better. Hopefully more people will see your post and realize the benefit of using Reptaid on geckos. This product definitely makes it easier to keep a reptile healthy and happy. I just wish more gecko owners would be willing to use it too!
thanks for the good report
