This is my male leo's cage. I do not have a humid hide for him. He gets extremely agitated whenever there is anything moist in his tank & tries to get out. Yes, he is on sand. I have tried numerous types of bedding for him but he prefers sand. He like to wiggle in it & get comfortable when he sleeps. He also likes to adjust the depth & amount of space he has in his two hides. He'll either dig the sand out or kick some in. I have had him on sand for 4 years & he is a greater eater, never had problems with impaction.
