I am proud to announce, one of the first geckos to be sent in space!
I say "one of the first" because I'm guessing I'm not the only that has done this

Having recently changed substrate to slate and not finding it very natural looking, I thought I would place my gecko completely out of this world.

I thought... How about the moon?

Following the creative idea of acpart (Aliza), I got a picture of the surface of the moon printed out.

Would have been nice to get a shot with her running around but she's sleeping.
(removed humid hide to show the background better)

Here it is! Lyla in space

These are the two 4x2x2 cages I built. The one on top has been split into 6 15inx24in dept for when I start including males. Right now I keep my male Patty and my large female hypo in the top and my 8 females in the bottom, they all get along well

Kalea's (SHTCTB) tank. she's the only one that has a more than basic tank setup. everyone else is in tubs. she's my spoiled pet store leo. this is a 20L tank.

cool side on the left. warm side on the right. lights are only on for the picture.

moist hide and cool hide on left. moist hide is underneath the log decor. calcium/vitamin supplement dish, skull decor, rock water dish in the middle. simple rock hide (herp hotel) on warm side with a folded paper towel in the front right corner for her 'bathroom spot'. tile flooring. simple brown construction paper background. various fake plant decor. the lights are actually a light hood i've had for a loong time. red heat bulb on the left just for nighttime viewing or if i have to warm up the ambient temps (rarely). regular bulb on right for any cleaning etc. i'm doing. there's also a dome lamp over top of the rock hide with a red heat bulb. i don't have an UTH for her so i have the dome light on a dimmer and a probe thermometer sitting on top of the hide to keep the temp stable and the top of the rock hide and the tile heats up nicely so she's still getting her belly heat. usually around 92. my room is always at a pretty stable temp so it's not much of a hassle to mess with the dimmer too much. she'll lay right on top of the rock hide under the heat and fall asleep when she wants to warm up.

I've had this little one for about a month. This is the tank set up as it came from the previous owners. (Except for the yogurt container wet hide and black calcium dish.) This tank is way smaller than I'd like it to be. I'll hopefully be picking up a bigger one soon.

well ive only had this guy for 4 days, i origionally had sand as a substrate, but found it really a pain to deal with, and all the bad things ive read i decided to redo his tank after work today. i went out got some slabs o stone, and a new hide so i could get rid of my do-it-yourself hide. and heres the result let me know what you guys think :)
