Small Female Mack Snow - PET ONLY

It breaks my heart, but I think this is for the best.

I would like to see my little Lukai go to a good home with someone who is a very experienced gecko owner, one who has the time and patience to take care of her.

She doesn't eat much and this worries me. I have tried large crickets, small crickets, shiing a laser pointer on the crcikets to excite her, tong feeding, mealies, cutting open wax worms, even slurry, but she doesn't care to eat much at all. She's so thin and it breaks my heart to think that I may be the reason she doesn't want to eat. I have her tank set up correctly; all temps are correct, she has the appropriate hides (moist and dry), water dish, calcium, vitamins, you name it. Yet she still shys away from food or loses interest when it is presented.

If you live in Southern California and would like to meet with me to pick her up, please PM so we can start talking. I'm asking $20 as an adoption fee; she's not going home with someone who isn't serious. If you don't live in So Cal but would still like her, again PM me and maybe we can work something out for shipping.

She's seen a vet and she's free of health problems, other than she doesn't eat a lot. )= I don't know her bloodlines. The breeder I bought her from says she's a mack snow but never said anything about breeding her so I would like her to be a pet only. Besides, she's on the really small side. I've had her for a good 8 months and she's hardly grown at all.

was she eating before the breeder sold it to you? that seems odd that they would just sell a gecko that wasnt eating. Either there is something medically wrong with her that the vet isnt finding or its just a bad seed that will never thrive. More than likely its the first option. Im not that good at dealing with difficult geckos but Im sure that people on the forums might be able to help. Ive heard of giving geckos pepto but no idea the dose. Might try to find that out and then give some slurry... idk.
Anyways good luck.

I feed my leo super worms. When I hand feed her, I dip the worms tail in calcium, my leo loves calcium. I touch the covered part to her nose & she starts to lick the caicium, then she just grabs the worm & chugs it down. Maybe you could try that & see if it'll spike her interest, I feel so bad for you. Much hope from me & good luck with her, if I was closer I'd love to have her, her pattern is just awesome looking, shes very pretty :)

Good news! Lukai is on REPTA-AID and is being hand fed with a syringe twice a day, and she's starting to look a little less thin. She's drinking more too. She hates having the syringe in her face, but she laps up the mixture eagerly. I'm going to try coating a few small crickets with the mix in a few days to see if she'll take those, but for now I'm focusing on keeping her hydrated.

Thanks for all your support and help everyone. (=

Hehe, if she makes a good come back then I'm definitely going to try and keep her. If I can't keep her stable, then I will consider you, DonLoo66. ^_^

ReptilesForTheWin, yes, the repta aid is working nicely. I'm still trying to get her to eat crickets on her own without the repta aid, but for now she's stable. (=

Shes a gorgeous lil girl. I had to feed my oldest female with a syringe about 2yrs ago cuz she wouldnt eat. turns out. She was just to fat and didnt feel like eating lol. Shes in great health now and even has a new sis i bout a few months ago. I would love to have your girl but my mom wont let me have another one unless i can put it in the same tank and yours looks to small to put in with my two without getting picked on by my older female =(.

I wish you luck with your baby.

Still doing ok? I'd love to have her, I have no interest in breeding & I have an extra tank that I could keep her in, I have to other females.
