In a few hours, I will have a NEW little man in my life. Just the other day I purchased a very impressive specimen from a wonderful breeder in BC. (She let me pet a LEACHIE. The baby was SO freakin' cute. I love their 'mitts'!) But what I got wasn't a leachie it's a leo! I'm thinking of naming him Bahamut. He's very cute, laid back and is a carrot tail baldy. He's almost ENTIRELY orange with the brighter part being at the base of his tail. The rest of his tail is white with lavender spots.

I've got a nice tank all set up for him. It's a ten gallon, but I hope to upgrade when I start working again and have more money. He'll be riding home with my in-laws. Don't worry though; I rigged up a nice travel package for him; carrier with tea towel and rolled up newspaper for him to hide in. The carrier is in a bag with an electric blanket stuffed in the bottom so hopefully he'll feel safer in the dark. I also got a digital thermometer to make sure he doesn't get too cold or too hot.

I gave my in-laws a quick rundown of leo care so he should be okay. I'll be sure to take pictures when he comes home! :D

So you didn't stick him in a hand bag and carry him with you on the plane?......Under a hat? A pocket?
May the good gecko-ing force be with you. Take care. HJ

I did consider it, but I was too afraid I'd get caught and he'd be confiscated. :( My mother-in-law just called a few minutes ago. She said he is fine.

Picatures

The first one's of his setup. I know it's cramped. I'll be upgrading as soon as I can.

And here's the man himself. The breeder told me the morph but I forget. Sunglow with some carrot tail? He's a little skiddish at the moment which I don't blame him so this is the only pic for the moment. Sorry about the twig in the way. lol
