Some "unfortunately named" geckos

It looks like I owe you an apology. The "unfortunately named" comment I made last night wasn't in any way meant to be an insult aimed at you or your geckos. I am not against naming new combos, I've done it myself. But you'll have to admit, "black hole" is bound to raise some eyebrows. Weren't you wearing a t-shirt at Daytona poking fun of the name? I didn't intend to give them any bad press. Like I said, it is one of my absolute favorite morphs, and I'll be working at producing them myself this season. Again, I apologize for offending you.

Jason, I dont think you gave it bad press... I knew exactly what you ment by your comment... It is an odd name... I feel that Matt and the folks at A&M had every right to name the combo morph, but yeah, the "black hole" name kinda struck me as being funny but thats just my sence of humor... LOL...

I think those who are against naming combo morphs might be a little mad that they did not produce the combo first... Thats what it boils down to in my opinion... I say it is just an easy way to know what combo it is... It should have a name... Heck, look at how many tangerines have differnt blood line names... Again, rightfully so...

Matt, although I love geckos with lots of tangerine, that is a cool non-tangerine morph for sure... Awesome leos as usual man...

Jason, for what it's worth, I don't KNOW you, but from how you conduct yourself on this site, I honestly didn't think what you said was a "dig" at all. I think it was just a case of misinterpretation.

Matt...um WOW!!! Talk about some GORGEOUS geckos. You never cease to amaze me with what you're producing. I only wish I lived closer so I could steal some of that magic

its ok Jason no harm done. it is a weird name and a lot of people take it as a bad thing like a ummmm shall we say hole that poop comes out of. but that is so far from what the intent of the name was to mean.

when thinking of the names for this stuff it was more. I was thinking astrological names the first one was the Nova and I picked it one cause of what it is " is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a white dwarf star" so basically a growing star. so it was kind of the best name for putting the two (raptor and enigma) together. with when we but the super snow in it we could call it the super nova. and it would still sound and make sense.

so when the snow eclipse enigma hatched with its black eyes white body and a black spot on the nose. I was like its just the opposite of the Nova and in astrology that is a Black Hole basically a star that has lost all of it fuel so it sucks in everything around it.

so basically we named them for being opposites
the nova with its color and genetic potential like the begging of something new.
and the black hole for its lack of color and ability to suck you in.

only after I named it I was like ohh people are taking this well the wrong way.:main_no:

And my shirt a daytona was about the dreamsickle. not the black hole and i guess my shirt about the Dreamsickle was a referal to something eles.:main_thumbsup:
