Sorry for being MIA lately...

I have not been able to spend as much time here on GF as I usually do, or would like to do, and I just wanted to fill you in on some things going on in my life right now.

First of all, as many of you know, I am disabled with FMS, spinal and cervical (neck) stenosis and spondylosis, as well as degernertive bone disease in other joints. I have severe neuropathy in both arms & hands from the degeneration of my spine causing nerve impingement. I have been in tremendous pain lately, and am in the process of planning 3 surgeries that will hopefully help.

Also, in late April my husband left and moved out. We are in the process of trying to work things out, but this has put me into a severe stressed-induced exacerbation of FMS.

I am a tough old lady, and things will be fine. I'm not looking for sympathy... I just felt like I owed all of you an explanation as to why I have not been very accessible lately. I want to thank many very dear friends in the gecko community for all the love and support you all have given me over these last couple of months. It has made all the difference in the world to me. I feel so Blessed to have such a wonderful community to be a part of... I truly love and care for you.

Thanks everyone! I came back from the spine clinic to day with pretty scary news. I need surgery ASAP, and am on call with the neurosurgeon. My cervical spine is in such bad shape I have spinal cord damage at C-5 and bone marrow oozing out into my spinal column. C-1 and 2 are now one b-i-g vertebrae instead of two, and C-5,6,7 will need decompression and fusion. I am risk of permanent spinal cord and nerve damage if I don't get it repaired soon. I guess my right shoulder and left hip will have to wait awhile...
