This little guy was hungry I guess! By the time I found the new batteries and put them in my camera, he had over an inch of my finger in his mouth. It didn't hurt at first, but once he really started to eat my finger, those little teeth digging in were not pleasant. I tried putting him under the water faucet, but that did nothing. Then I poured some olive oil on him and wedged one of those plastic bread bag tabs between his upper jaw and my finger. It still wasn't easy to dislodge him. I used a second tab on the lower jaw to try and get his teeth separated from my skin. Got a few scratches on my finger, a little blood, not too bad. Hopefully the king didn't break any teeth. I didn't see any, I think all the blood was mine!

Alcohol actually works really well if a snake won't let go, they usually instantly let go. Just pour it down your finger and into their mouth.

I wouldnt suggest pouring alcohol into a snakes mouth. Sorry, but that can cause some serious damage. I always keep the waterless hand cleaner near by and if one latches on, I simply get some on my other hand and hold it near the snakes face. They usually let go pretty quickly with this method.
