I had just seen a post asking about the different variations of stripes.
I thought I'd take a shot at it.
These in my opinion are nice examples of each. Included with the best description I could provide for them.
This is a Bold Stripe. This is fairly self explanatory. Two nice crisp bold stripes made with the dark coloration. They are laterally located and move from the head to tail.
This is a Red Stripe. Two nicely colored "redish/orange" stripes. They are usually located higher on the body near the dorsal area.
This is a Dorsal Stripe (Albey Line). This animal is similar to the Red Stripe but with more patterned tangerine influence. The Dorsal area will also tend to be very colorless.
This is a Hypo Stripe. It will have almost no actual striping. The tail is striped but the body is not. The body is void of any pattern and has very little color.
This is an albino Red Stripe. This particular animal is of the Rainwater line also known as a Raining Red Stripe. It is a cross of all the stripe variations seen thus far (primarily the Red Stripe) combined with the albino gene.
This is an Albino Reverse Stripe. The Reverse Stripe will have a single stripe down the dorsal area of the animal. This stripe will be of the darker color pigment on the animal. On occassion the Reverse Stripe will also have a Standard Stripe pattern on the latteral area.
These are my opinions. The descriptions are not set in stone and are open to interpretation. I hope that this will help some.
Comments and others opinions are welcomed but please keep it civil.
