Both my pairs of Striped Colombians have been going at it the last couple weeks, probably encouraged by some recent low pressure fronts moving through. Hopefully some big ovulations in their future:main_thumbsup:

Robin-

The story behind these is interesting-For many years I owned a large reptile shop in Upstate NY. A pair of normal-appearing adult colombians were traded in by a customer-these mated and dropped a litter in the store. Almost a third of this litter were perfectly striped! Of course, it's possible that the striping could be due to improper gestation temps, but another gravid female that was housed with the original female dropped her litter at the same time, and all her babies were normal. The animals pictured above are offspring I held back from that '05 litter-so this will either prove them out, or not!

And yes, you do know me-I'm Alicia's (Collection Manager at leopardgecko.com) husband!

Yes, they were born in '05, and this is my first breeding attempt with them.

Boerne is such a great place to live-hard to imagine leaving it now....

i HATE boerne now! it used to be so small and quaint, I loved it!. i remember when there was only two stop lights in town and i remember when it was only 2000 people living in it. before walmart and HEB there was a PBI and a Winns store!

Boerne is all snooty and snobby now and all the city folk done and brought their kids and their problems into my little town :(

on a good note my father and three brothers (and their families) seem to still love it :grin2:

Probably a good thing I'm new to the area then! Actually, I can see that aspect of things-guess we try to patronize the smaller, long-established businesses and avoid the chains and fancy restaurants for the most part.

And boy, are property values inflated! We're looking for a small ranch, and will probably need to look at least 15 miles out for anything affordable....

We want at least 5-10 acres. We found a perfect place out past Sisterdale, but when we timed the drive it would have been about 30 minutes one way for Alicia to her work. We decided to hold out for something a bit closer.
