I use both tile, and slate. However, I'm curious, do you all think linoleum (without glue on the back) would work? I have some really nice linoleum that looks like stone that a friend gave me. I've been trying to think about what I could do with it, and thought maybe I could try it with my leos. But, I just don't want to put it in the enclosure if it's not safe.

My lfs sent me home with sand and the inevitable happened! So know I'm experimenting with slate and porcelain tiles to see how heat transfers!

I have been told calci-sand is good as long as it says it's safe for geckos on the package. But i could be wrong. I personally use repticarpet right now.

just got a price for a slab of indian stone/slate, would it be better to cut the slate into 2 or 3 pieces or just leaving it as 1? also going to put some sand underneath to level etc. dont suppose it really matters on the colour does it?
