super cheap water/food dishes!

if you are like me and you hate to spend money you find ways to buy things super cheap! $5 for a food bowl is to much, $2 is still to much for me! lol i went to my favorite store, dollartree, and i found these! they are 8 for $1!! thats right! they are they perfect size and depth for mealworm bowls! and you can use them for water bowls too! thought you super cheap people like me would like to know!

thats a giant mealworm just so you know.

Those are perty sweet I would only be concerned about htem tipping them over otherwise great freaking deal My dollar place doens't have em tho :/ congrats on a great find now i have to go look some more lol

I just use caps, and the tops of stuff. I'm really cheap, but my brother has to have everything bought. I don't know why, but he thinks that if we use paper towels and mil caps, and jar tops and stuff it'll look like a "white-trash gecko" I hope nobody was offended!

My dollartree doesn't have those either, as far as I could tell last time I was there hunting for the exact same thing lol I did buy some that are 3 for a dollar, so close enough?

see what im going to do is cut them right below the outer rim to make them shorter and im going to glue a heavy washer to the bottom to make them heavyier so they wont tip over.

That's a great idea. I started off buying all these adorable little natural looking dished. Then my gecko population increased exponentially. Now I just cut the bottoms off of aquafina water bottles to make my bowls.

I use the containers my supers come in. They're about that size. And Akira does tip them over so that all the mealies fall to the bottom, and then she takes her time selecting the ones she'd like to eat first lol. I should get a pic sometime. It's so cute
