Hey guys, I need to get all my supplies for my little guy when I get him. Do you think I will get a better deal if I get them from Daytona verses at the pet stores in my area? I've never been to a reptile expo. I need everything.

i've never been to an expo but petsmart sells 10s for about 11 bucks and you can get a good deal on a heat pad, calci-dish, hydrometer, 2 thermometers, and a spray bottle for the price of just the heat pad if you get one of theese.

Cool, I've goot some good ideas for what his terrarium will look like. Im just curious as to if I would find a one stop shop so to speak at the expo. If this is the case would the deals be better that those at a pet store because of competition between vendors?

I found tiles to be much easier to clean than the repticarpet.

Yes, and I got them at lowes for .39 a 12x12 tile.
So I got three and they gave me two free cuts with the purchase, which I used to cut them to shape :D

I'll find where I bought my stuff...really cheap plus an online 15% off coupon which pretty much eliminated all the shipping.
I had bought stuff at the cheapest pet store...and then my "cheap" self looked online for better deals found this site and returned everything...saved maybe $20 for a nice setup...now to find it. :D

B7JMHX thats the code put it in when you checkout.

1 x Repti Temp Rheostat $13.83
2 x ZooMed Digital Terrarium Thermometer $10.08
1 x Repti Therm U.T.H for 30-40 gallon terrariums $14.99
2 x Exo Terra Reptile Cave - Small $5.00
1 x Reptocal Powdered Nutritional Supplement 2.12oz $2.51
1 x Repti Basking Spot Lamp 75watt $4.70
1 x Clamp Lamp - 5.5 inch $7.11
1 x Mealworm Dish $1.00
1 x Exo Terra Water dish - Medium $3.18
1 x Malaysian Driftwood - Medium $5.85

That is what I bought, good luck finding it throughout the site.
Its a nice setup...EXCEPT DONT BUY THE LIGHT.
Waste of money, too much heat...they need belly heat, and albinos are sensitive to light and won't eat with a light :D

Very nice list thekooliest. I appreciate the link as well. So basically that U.T.H. is the only heat needed? I would probably buy some kind of flourecent tube as well for overall lighting.

When one speaks of a terrarium is that not just a 10 or 20 gallon fish tank? If that' the case most of the 20 gallons I've seen are 50 dollars and up.

The local pets store I go to had a 20L that was a leaker (not good for holding water) He gave it to me for free and I went home, cleaned it out and took aquarium sealant and went in the corners to seal up anything that was big enough for a cricket to get through and let it dry for 48 hrs. So try the LPS if you can and see if they got a leaker!

Yes, and they NEED the UTH...belly heat helps them digest.
Make sure the flourecent tube doesn't give off heat, plus if you get an albino, they are sensitive to light and might not like eating in the bright light.
