Use the info here to make your list of what you need. Go to the petstore and price it. When you go to the expo, go to all the vendors and write down the prices for the stuff you need. Then you can either buy different things from different vendors, or, if most of your stuff is with one vendor, sometimes you can tell them the lower price you found somewhere else and they'll give you the same deal.

Awesome, good info so far guys...very active forum. Im definitely hittin the expo next weekend. I plan on getting a Tang, (hopefully one of the more firey varities I've seen here.)

Oh by the way, I've seen this thermometer in a lot of pictures here. It's the one on the third pic, with the red, yellow, blue and green.

Its just a thermeometer/hygrometer (humidity, which you don't need to measure) laying on the ground.
It is better to get on with a probe to measure floor temperatures, as the air doesn't matter as much.
The cheapest ones are the things I bought in the list. :D
