A bearded dragon would go nicely in a 55g as long as you don't mind having to feed lots of crickets.

well im pretty sure he got them at a moving sale but im not quite sure;)
uuhh for the 55gallon you could go with a bearded dragon, blue tongue skink, or a uromastyx but that tank might be to skinny you could also setup a BIG dart frog vivarium with a water fall and a pond with some neon tetras and maybe some cory cats and LOTS of ferns and bromeliads and some moss! I think that would be pretty cool
for the twenty gallon you could go with a pyxie frog, african fat tail geckos, a fire skink, a schnider/berbers skink, sandfish, occelated skinks, if it holds water you could try stinkpot or razor back musk turtles the choice is yours !!!

Thanks for that.....but WHERE was the moving sale? Pretty safe to assume that not EVERY moving sale will be selling lizards and fish tanks.

Wow! That is a sweet deal!! Lucky! A blue tongue skink could happily live it's whole like in the 55G. I have a BTS and they are alot of fun!!

Yeah. A beardie or a Corn Snake or similar coloubrid. However, Bearded Dragons take A LOT more care than leos. I think they are so much more fun though (probably not such a good thing to say on this site). They are much more interactive, and handleable, but are really like small dogs. I've always wanted an armadillo lizard, and a pair of them could easily live in a 50 gallon tank. If you were to breed them, they give birth to live young :main_thumbsup:

I am jealous. There is a couple 40 gallon tanks at this petstore for $45 dollars. It has no lid, but leos don't really need one.
I am not sure if its a good deal or not I have been procrastinating on getting it.

I think that sounds like a good deal:main_yes:. It really depends on the quality of the tanks though.

I would like to politely disagree-all reptiles need a lid on a tank/aquarium-to keep them in anything else out

That includes keeping stuff from accidentally falling into the tank-not just keeping other animals away from them
And Leos can stand on their tails and jump higher than you might think

just my .-02
BTW-
Nice deal-I have picked up many second hand tanks and still have them and I am still using them 10 years later

a coworker let me know they were moving and told me they had some tanks for sale, thats all they had though, other than clothes and tables and stuff like that, but i think they've sold the rest of that stuff

the 55 and one of the 20Ls has a crack in them, but nothing so bad that it really has to be fixed, or could just be fixed w/ some plexi...

anyway, thanks for the suggestions guys, really helpful... im going to be building something to hold all these tanks, but really need to decide whats goin in them first

im really interested in gettin some sort of arobeal snake (something a little smaller) for the 55G, and maybe flipping one of the 20s up and making a plexiglass front for a crested

anyway, ill check back in a few days... my computer is busted at the moment (waiting for a new power supply) so im using a friends every now and then...

thanks again :)

aah, good to be back... computers finally up and running!

anyway, im still trying to figure out what to put in the 55, and still thinking about some sort of smaller snake (3-4ft max) that likes vines and stuff, i think that would look neat, any suggestions?

not so sure id want a beardie or uromastyx, not yet anyway... more interested in snakes at the moment

keep the ideas comin!

thanks :)
