I like the tanks, but they do cost $ luckly I cleaned out a fish breeder going out of buissness and got 18 tanks for $150. Now I have a rack system for tanks in my class, I do 20L on the floor and 15 ontop, then 20L on a desk top above that. I was thinking of doing a tub/rack thing for my males, and meal worms.

I like tank because of the display aspect but don't like the average tanks, they're always too high and not wide enough, ugh and HEAVY! In the new year I hope to move to large clear bins because these 3 tanks are my responsibility and I'm going to seriously hurt myself hauling them around and I just don't have the room in this tiny apartment and all our crap.

before being a science teacher I was a Union Carpenter /welder, I rigged up something out of a bunch of thick oak 6ftx30in desktops, its a reinforced 20in shelf about 1/2in above a 20L tank on the floor, 15 gal fit on the shelf, then the full desktops on that. I have room for 9 per level. I only have 7 of the 20L set up and a few others on the top. If I fill it I can go higher using the same setup stacked.

I use tanks mainly but have a large bin just incase. I have a 20L with a female patty, a 40 breeder with 2 females, a spare 20 high, and an incubator with 7 turtle eggs cooking. I'm looking at getting either another 40 or a 55 to put the turtles in when they hatch.

I use tanks here! i think herps in general should be shown and admired! unless you a breeder and tubes really do seem like the better option.
