Well six months ago I bought my first of Leo babies from a vendor in hamburg and they were supposed to be temp sexed females. For some reason these two do not like to be handled, they go berserk. So try not to handle those 2 to much. My tang has been acting kind of funny and is gettin kind of chunky like she is possibly will eggs. So I was watching my Mack Snow and now I see that she is really a male!:main_robin: Not good lol. They are only about 6 or 7months and I wanted to wait a few more months.

These things happen. Best is always to take a look on them every now and than to see if a tmp sexed gecko realy is what it should be.
You should wait the gal to lay and than cool her down.
How much dies she weight?

@HEather I had around 30+ Macks this year and only one hasn´t become what I incubated it on. Maybe I was just lucky but I never had a problem with the Macks.

Thats whey they put temp sexed and not FEMALE FOR SURE. Temp sexed means they were incubated in the temperature range that makes more females or more males, it isnt a 100% guarantee. i understand why you would be upset, but the only sure way of sexing is to wait until they are old enough.

I have never had a prob with temp sexing macks. i have heard of people haveing an issue, but i personaly never have. my male incubator is set at 90 degrees i have heard of some that keep their male incubator at 88 degrees i dont know if that would make the difference or not.

as far as temp sexing geckos i have about 95% hatch for what they are incubated for, but its not 100%. like said above the best thing to do is to wait till about 20 grams and then they should be able to be easily sexed. anything under that is harder to tell inless its a male and some males start showing early. i have had geckos at 10 grams being able to be sexed.

if you buy a baby gecko it is hard to sex them 100%, if possable at all. Temp sexed is not sexed. I know you may be upset, but the breeder didnt lie to you.

i hope that your geckos do fine. just seperate them and give her a place to lay the eggs. i dont think i would cool her right away,1) cause she still might have the eggs develop and then she might become egg bound easier. 2) cooling might get her stressed too. i would keep her at the same temp and get the male out. the girl can hold sperm but get the male out so there isnt any more sperm to make any more eggs :main_thumbsup: just make sure she eats has a lay box and lots of water its a stessful time for her.

Out of 18 mack snow hatchlings we had 1 that was temp sexed for female and turned out to be a male. I had my males set at 89 and my females set at 82.

So far I am running 100% Mack snow females (out of about 15 hatchlings) coming from an incubator at 81.

It always stinks to having a geckos not turn out the sex it was supposed to be. Many times TS geckos are priced cheaper than visually sexed geckos because they're smaller so it's a bit of a gamble. We had a few Mack Snow Bells end up the "wrong" sex last season out of the 88 male incubator and 80 female incubator. I try to hang on to all of our Macks until they can visually sexed.

Same here- all our Macks this season turned out what they were supposed to be. At 83 degrees all turned out female, at 90 degrees, all turned out male.

Yep, same for me... My macks temp sex just as true as any other morph... Not really sure who started all that "mack snows can not be temp sexed"...
