Well, I have been bummed lately about the geckos. We have lost two wonderful females this season to unknown causes. But the last awful thing to happen to us in our first season was this:

We were gone for the day and either the AC went out or the power went out. Well, It must have reached well over 90 degrees in our appartment that day. I lost all but one of my crested geckos. :( I'm still upset over it and down about everything that has to do with geckos. It was so hard for me to look at them all curled up and dead. I feel awful because they were so helpless.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry. That's one of those things you just can't prepare for. You prepare when a storm is coming but having the AC turn off is such a horrible random tragedy. There wasn't anything you could done to prevent it so try not to feel too guilty.

I'm so sorry, Matt and Mallory. :( Like Mel said, there's nothing you could have done to prevent it. It's just one of those sucky things. :(

That is the most horrible thing I have ever heard on here, I am SO terribly sorry!!!! You'll be in our thoughts, I know there isn't much that can really make up for what's happened. That's just so very tragic

Im so sorry for your loss. I used to have Chinchillas and Everytime I would leave the house I was so scared something like that would happen.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have 4 cresties and I worried all summer about something like that happening. You couldn't have seen something like that happening.
