The Hypno

Before I began such a project I had first started to randomly breed the female which is a Ray Hine Co dominant Hypo to other morphs. When I noticed that the babies from her were half Hypo and half normal I realized by asking a few questions from top breeders what she was. The conclusion of Ray Hine is what led me to my new direction for her.

The 3 parents. Super Snow, Hypno, Co dom Hypo

The birth of the Hypno (Hypo Snow) began. So first crossing the Ray Hine aka Bians to a Super Snow the 2 babies came out a normal snow. The first baby grew to be a high white snow and the second was the combination of Bians and Snow. The first Hypno. When breeding season came upon us I bred Hypnair which is what I decided to name him, to Bians and to a Super Snow.

As he got older it looked as if the 2 co dom genes were fusing with each other. The end result is...

Under this Super Snow

3 kinds of babies came out...

A Super Snow which I am waiting to see how it turns out. Like I said before Bians genes is a 50% genetic form so I don't know yet if it combined with the SS.

Next is what I call the actual Hypno 2nd generation. The snow first begins with an offset pattern and a white yellow hue to it. As she gets older the yellow starts to take over. This is her as of now...

With this combination a regular snow can come out and with this one it did, but I'm still trying to see as it grows because even though it has normal pattern it has a yellowish background. (In shed will post pic afterwards.)

Under Bians

she had 2 babies so far.

First up is one that looks like the Hypno 2nd generation above.

The second baby is still young but much brighter in orange then even the mother so maybe this one is the 100% form of Bians or even that with the added snow. There's no telling yet but in time as I update this you and I will know.

So all these babies are second generation linebred traits.

Every baby and growth will be posted on this page.

awesome.
Man all this breeding stuff really blows my mind. Seems to be heaps of combinations etc. Would love to learn more about it.
They look great though man!!!

Great looking geckos! I chose to key in on SHTCTB for my first breeding project. Just so I could get used to breeding geckos and take some offspring to start new projects and sell the others to offset some costs. My main goal is to become a small scale breeder specializing in 2-4 morphs.

There is a lot to learn out there. The world of reptiles and what you can learn is almost endless. Some people get lucky, some have the quantity, and others not as much. Just have to find somewhere to start and go from there.

That's a good approach and you should keep at it and not give up. Tangerine is a very useful morph in all aspects, people love them with or without pattern. What few morphs do you plan to work on? When I first started out I wanted to breed everything just to get my name out there, but at this point it's way more then that. It's about making a statement being the best that you can be. Keep up the work and don't quit.

That SS looks like it may have some interesting designs to it.

Yes that is what I am surely hoping for. Thanks Travis

The Ray Hine is only used in two combination, one is itself and the other is a super snow. Just that one of the babies were a combination of both which I had started the Hypno line project with him. I bred him to the original Ray Hine and to a Super Snow and those are all his babies. The are initially Ray Hine line Hypomelanistic Snows.

Intresting project, I think it would be neat to eventually see a Form of a Creamsicle super snow.

ray hime line hypos are all over. many people use them and their offspring to create creams. just about every hypo out there is a descendant of a ray hime line co-dom hypo. i still don't get it
